What makes me different as a counsellor...
01.
RELATIONSHIP SPECIALIST
Through my many years in the industry, and five in private practice, I've worked extensively with couples facing relationship difficulties. Supporting through Emotion-Focused Therapy, I love being able to help partners repair ruptures and get back to that place of genuine trust and acceptance. I have a particular interest in young couples entering their first romantic relationship, but am open to supporting lovers of all kinds.

02.
A FLEXIBLE STYLE
No two people and situations are the same - and neither is my counselling. Whether you love to travel, you work quirky hours, or you only need help every now and again, I'm here to work with you. Offering online therapy, as well as the ability to move in and out at your own pace, I'm all for creating a counselling experience that actually supports my clients and their needs - no lock-ins, no GP referral required. No judgement for taking a break.

03.
CREATIVE THINKER WITH A LIVED EXPERIENCE OF ADHD
In both my communication style (I love a good metaphor) and my tailored approach to sessions, I'm always thinking creatively about how to help my clients in a way that's going to serve them best. A way that will allow them to recognise their blind spots, and to understand things in a way that makes sense to them. As someone with first hand know-how of what it's like navigating neurodivergent difficulties, I'm also very aware of how our minds work differently and I'm able to see things from various perspectives.
The skills I have gained have allowed me to be more accepting of myself, kinder to those around me & less reactive in situations
When I first came to see Steph I didn't think I "needed" therapy, but here I am 5 years later still coming monthly. Steph has provided a safe space for me where I can be myself, sharing any issues or thoughts that come up for me whether they have been personal or in my relationship. The skills I have gained through our sessions have allowed me to be more accepting of myself, kinder to those around me & less reactive in situations. Sometimes life feels overwhelming, and although there is nothing "wrong" it doesn't mean you wouldn't benefit from reflecting on it with a professional. I'm so glad I realised this and have found someone to support me on my journey. Thank you so much for everything Steph.
